Game Features and Bonuses
Layout and Cluster Pays: The game is played on a 5x5 grid where wins are formed by landing clusters of 4 or more matching symbols horizontally and/or vertically adjacent.
Multiplier Wilds: Rich Wilde himself appears as a Multiplier Wild, revealing multipliers of x2, x3, x4, or x5 when part of a winning combination. During the bonus round, these multipliers can increase up to x10.
Ammit the Devourer Wild: A 2x2 alligator-head Wild that appears exclusively during the Banishment Free Spin, moving across the grid up to three times to contribute to wins before disappearing.
All-Seeing Eyes: Eye icons can appear beneath regular symbols. If a win occurs in their position, 2 to 4 regular Wilds are released onto the grid after all wins are calculated.
Ritual Features: A meter to the left of the grid charges with winning symbols. Accumulating enough charges triggers features like Protection (releases Wilds), Devour (releases Wilds and destroys surrounding symbols), and Judgement (upgrades low-value symbols to high-paying ones).
Banishment Free Spin: Triggered by filling the Ritual meter with 48 charges. This bonus round guarantees the activation of all three Ritual features sequentially and can include additional features for overcharging the meter.
Gameplay Mechanics and Strategies
Unique Mechanics: Rich Wilde and the Tome of Dead utilizes a cluster-pays system on a 5x5 grid, moving away from traditional paylines. The Ritual meter, which charges with winning symbols to trigger various modifiers, is central to the gameplay loop.
In-Game Dynamics: The game features cascading wins, meaning winning clusters disappear and new symbols fall into place, potentially creating consecutive wins from a single spin. This can help charge the Ritual meter more quickly.
Player Strategy: While no strategy can alter the game's inherent RTP, understanding the Ritual meter's progression and the potential for cascading wins can help players appreciate the game's flow. The goal is to accumulate enough winning symbols to activate the powerful Banishment Free Spin.
