How It Plays
Speed VIP Blackjack C follows the standard rules for Evolution Gaming's live blackjack. The game uses eight decks, and the dealer stands on all 17s (both hard and soft). Players receive two cards, and the dealer takes one face-up card and one face-down card, peeking for blackjack only when their up-card is an Ace. Blackjack pays 3:2. Players can double down on any initial two cards and can double after splitting pairs. Only one split is allowed per hand, and re-splitting is not an option. Surrender is not offered.
The "Speed" aspect of this table means the dealing pace is significantly quicker than standard blackjack tables. Cards are dealt to all players simultaneously, and the first player to make a decision (Hit, Stand, Double, Split) for their hand dictates the pace for that round, ensuring minimal waiting time. The "VIP" designation indicates that this table is designed for players who prefer higher betting limits compared to standard blackjack tables.
House Edge by Bet
| Bet Type | House Edge | RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Main Hand | 0.71% | 99.29% |
| 21+3 Side Bet | 3.70% | 96.30% |
| Perfect Pairs | 4.10% | 95.90% |
The house edge for the main blackjack hand is based on optimal basic strategy play. It is important to note that side bets like 21+3 and Perfect Pairs carry a significantly higher house edge, meaning they return less to the player over the long term compared to the main game.
Strategy and Bankroll
The optimal strategy for Speed VIP Blackjack C is basic strategy, which involves making decisions (Hit, Stand, Double, Split) based on your hand total and the dealer's up-card. Following basic strategy minimizes the house edge to 0.71%. Deviating from basic strategy will increase the house edge.
Given the "VIP" nature of this table, it is designed for players with larger bankrolls. The faster pace of play on Speed tables also means more hands are played per hour, which can lead to quicker bankroll fluctuations. Therefore, a robust bankroll management strategy is crucial. Avoid side bets if your primary goal is to maximize your return, as their higher house edge will deplete your bankroll faster. Insurance, offered when the dealer shows an Ace, is also a bet with a negative expected value and is generally not recommended.
