How It Plays
Blackjack VIP L follows the standard rules for Evolution Gaming's live blackjack. Players aim to achieve a hand total closer to 21 than the dealer, without exceeding 21. The game is played with eight decks, and the dealer stands on all 17s (both hard and soft). Players can double down on any initial two cards and can double down after splitting pairs. However, re-splitting pairs is not permitted, and the game does not offer a surrender option. The dealer peeks for blackjack only when an Ace is showing as their up-card.
Two optional side bets are available: 21+3 and Perfect Pairs. The 21+3 side bet uses the player's first two cards and the dealer's up-card to form a three-card poker hand. The Perfect Pairs side bet pays out if the player's initial two cards form a pair, with higher payouts for suited or colored pairs. These side bets carry a significantly higher house edge than the main blackjack game.
House Edge by Bet
| Bet Type | House Edge | RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Main Hand (basic strategy) | 0.71% | 99.29% |
| 21+3 | 3.70% | 96.30% |
| Perfect Pairs | 4.10% | 95.90% |
The main hand RTP of 99.29% for Blackjack VIP L reflects optimal basic strategy play. The side bets, while offering higher potential payouts, come with a substantially higher house edge, making them less favorable in the long run compared to the main game.
Strategy and Bankroll
The optimal strategy for Blackjack VIP L involves adhering to basic blackjack strategy, which minimizes the house edge to 0.71%. This strategy dictates when to hit, stand, double down, or split based on your hand and the dealer's up-card. Ignoring basic strategy will increase the house edge. Given that Blackjack VIP L is a VIP table, it is designed for players with larger bankrolls who are comfortable with higher minimum bets. Effective bankroll management is crucial to sustain play, especially when facing the natural variance of blackjack. Avoid the side bets if your primary goal is to maximize your return over time, as their house edge is considerably higher.
Comparison with Similar Tables
