Game Features and Bonuses
Layout: The game features a dynamic 5-reel setup with a 3-5-5-5-3 row configuration, providing 1125 ways to win. This unique layout enhances the visual appeal and winning potential.
Special Symbols: Wild symbols, designed as a golden face with a "W," substitute for all other symbols except scatters, appearing on reels 2, 3, and 4. Scatter symbols, represented by a pyramid with "Bonus," trigger the Free Spins feature. Additionally, all symbols except Wilds and Scatters may appear in Golden Blocks on reels 2, 3, and 4; when part of a win, these transform into Wild Symbols for the subsequent cascade.
Free Spins: Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatter symbols anywhere on the reels awards 10, 12, or 14 Free Spins, respectively. During this feature, the third reel consists exclusively of Golden Block symbols, significantly increasing the chances of Wild transformations. The multiplier in Free Spins starts at 2x and increases by 2x with each cascade.
Bonus Rounds: The game includes a Cascade feature, activated after any winning combination. Symbols that were part of the win disappear, and new symbols fall into their place, allowing for multiple consecutive wins from a single paid spin. This continues until no more winning combinations can be formed.
Unique Features: A Multiplier feature is prominently displayed on the right side of the reels. It starts at 1x in the base game and increases by 1x with every cascade, applying to all wins. In Free Spins, the multiplier starts at 2x and increases by 2x per cascade. There is also a Bonus Buy option, allowing players to instantly access 10 Free Spins for 90x their current bet.
Gameplay Mechanics and Strategies
Unique Mechanics: Tonatiuh's Legacy utilizes a cascading reels mechanic, where winning symbols are removed, and new symbols drop down, potentially creating chain reactions of wins. This is combined with a progressive multiplier that increases with each cascade, adding excitement to successive wins.
In-Game Dynamics: The Golden Block mechanic adds an extra layer of dynamic play, as symbols within these blocks transform into Wilds after contributing to a win, enhancing subsequent cascade potential. The multiplier resets after each paid spin in the base game but persists and increases throughout a Free Spins round, offering greater reward potential during the bonus.
Player Strategy: While no strategy can alter the game's inherent RTP, players might consider the Bonus Buy option to experience the Free Spins feature directly, which offers a higher starting multiplier and increased Golden Block presence on reel 3. Managing bet size in relation to the medium volatility can help extend gameplay and allow for more opportunities to trigger the bonus features organically.
Comparison with Similar Slots

Aztec Gold Megaways by iSoftBet offers a similar ancient civilization theme with cascading wins, but uses the Megaways engine for variable paylines and a different reel structure.
