How Challenges Work

A challenge is a prize attached to a target on a specific game. Someone posts it — the house or another player — naming the game, the multiplier to beat and the minimum qualifying bet. The first player to hit that multiplier takes the prize.

The rules, precisely

• It is tied to one game. Only bets placed on the named game count. Playing something else, however well it goes, does nothing.

• There is a minimum bet. Bets below it are ignored, though the threshold is applied with a 5% tolerance, so a stake just under the line still qualifies.

• The target is a multiplier, not an amount. Your win divided by your stake has to reach or exceed the number on the challenge, so a small stake can take a large prize.

• First past the post wins. The moment a qualifying bet reaches the target the challenge closes and the prize is paid to that player.

• Nobody wins, most of it comes back. If a challenge reaches the end of its life with no qualifying bet, 95% of the pot is refunded.

Some challenges are restricted to a campaign, meaning only players who arrived through a particular referral are eligible. Those are labelled on the challenge itself.

How do I win a challenge?
