How It Plays
Blackjack C follows the widely recognized rules of eight-deck blackjack. Players aim to achieve a hand total closer to 21 than the dealer, without exceeding 21. Blackjack (an Ace and a 10-value card) pays 3:2. The dealer stands on all 17s (hard or soft). Players can double down on any initial two cards and can double down after splitting. Splitting is permitted once, but re-splitting is not allowed. The game does not offer a surrender option. The dealer takes one hole card and peeks for blackjack only when an Ace is showing. If the dealer has blackjack with an Ace up, players lose their total wager, including any amounts from doubles or splits.
Two optional side bets are available: 21+3 and Perfect Pairs. The 21+3 bet pays based on the player's first two cards and the dealer's up-card forming a three-card poker hand. Perfect Pairs pays if the player's initial two cards form any pair. These side bets carry a significantly higher house edge than the main blackjack game.
House Edge by Bet
| Bet Type | House Edge | RTP |
|---|---|---|
| Main Hand (Basic Strategy) | 0.71% | 99.29% |
| 21+3 | 3.70% | 96.30% |
| Perfect Pairs | 4.10% | 95.90% |
Strategy and Bankroll
Optimal play in Blackjack C involves adhering to basic strategy, which minimizes the house edge to 0.71%. This strategy dictates the correct action (hit, stand, double, split) for every possible player hand against every dealer up-card. Deviating from basic strategy will increase the house edge. Players should be aware that the side bets, 21+3 and Perfect Pairs, have a much higher house edge (3.70% and 4.10% respectively) compared to the main game. While they offer higher payouts, they are statistically less favorable in the long run. A prudent bankroll management strategy would focus on the main game and avoid side bets to maximize play duration and return.
Comparison with Similar Tables
Blackjack C offers the standard Live88 blackjack experience, identical in rules and RTP to other tables in its family. For players seeking a similar core game, options include Premium Classic Blackjack 1 or Premium Classic Blackjack 3. These tables share the same fundamental ruleset and basic strategy RTP. The primary differences between these tables and Blackjack C will be the specific studio environment, dealer rotation, and table availability.
